Do you know someone who loves the environment and has made a difference in a school, a classroom, or in our community? Make this their time to shine by nominating them for an Explore Ecology Environmental Stewardship Award.
Now, in their second year, the awards recognize teachers and students who promote environmental stewardship through education and action.
Winners will receive their awards at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival on April 21, 2018. Recipients will be honored and give acceptance speeches on the Kids Stage, and afterward will join CEC’s Environmental Hero on the Main Stage for further recognition.
Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:
Teacher Award: Honors the achievements of a teacher who has made significant contributions to educating and impacting youth and who has inspired their class and/or school through teaching and action. There are two awards in this category for teachers in grades K to 6th grade and 7th to 12th grade.
Class Award: Honors a class that has changed the eco-ethos of their school, protected the environment, and influenced their school community. There is one award in this category for a class grades K to 12th.
