Diane Mooshoolzadeh started at The Santa Barbara Independent in 2012 as a public relations intern and worked her way up to proofreading intern before attaining the role of copy editor. Originally from Thousand Oaks, she studied English, Spanish, and professional editing at UC Santa Barbara. She spent a glorious semester abroad in Madrid, Spain, studying, traveling, and scarfing down croquetas and mojitos. When not picking apart everyone’s grammar, she can usually be found reading The Hobbit, running the cliffs of Goleta, dancing salsa, or experimenting with new food recipes. Next, she hopes to travel to Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Thailand, and Ireland.
