Katherine is a recent addition to The Independent from the faraway land of Los Angeles where she more recently spent her days guiding the new and the lost as a concierge for popular hotels in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Before that, she got her BA in English from UCLA and then took off to Florence, Italy to study food writing, food photography, and, of course, cooking. With a rounded background of eating, drinking, cooking, writing, and serving the public, she comes to the Santa Barbara food and wine scene to dish it out from every angle.
