Perhaps if the DA and local police hadn't called in The Department of Justice and DEA to close all of the Medical Marijuana Collectives, there would be hundreds of thousands more in the coffers from sales taxes. I guess it's okay for them to ignore California law. So I guess they have to be the major recipients of the cuts to come.

On County Budget: 'Cutting Away Some Bone'

Here is a little list of losses to the community by closing only one collective:

Legal Medical Marijuana patients, lose safe and dignified access.

Eight employees laid off.

Eight families lost health insurance.

Community lost $150,000 in sales taxes per year.

Community lost $150,000 in payroll taxes per year.

Eight families lost health insurance.

I guess the city government will need to lay off the Distrct Attorney who is responsible for calling up the DOJ to get all these bad guys with a 45 cent stamp. Seems he lost all the money to pay himself.
