I was shocked to see the place shuttered yesterday. Always had a good experience there. Sounds like it was eroded from the inside out, not from the usual suspect of State St. overhead. Anyone think the Indigo will turn it back into a Subway?

Far from a PR tool, search dogs are an integral part of Urban Search

and Rescue incidents such as building collapses like the one that just

occurred at State and 154. Search dogs are a national resource, responding to incidents wherever needed, including OKC , 9/11 and La Conchita. Just as we need outside agency help with our large fires in SB, local dogs will respond to other areas as well. Having an amazing resource like a search dog in our area is a good thing. Additionally, I believe the dog's vehicle is donated and not a county owned vehicle, as are many of the other costs of his upkeep.

While I think my Pit Bull is "The Bomb" she is definitely not "A" bomb. Her natural instinct as a terrier is to chase rodents and rodent like objects, including tennis balls. She definitely has her insecurities including unleashed children of certain ages, weed whips and vacuum cleaners. Part of responsible pet ownership is understanding your dog's character and behavior and not putting them in situations where a bite can occur. We need to focus more on breeding regulation in this country as opposed to breed specific regulation. You need a license to catch even a hatchery raised, planted fish in California but anyone, regardless of intention or intelligence can breed dogs.
