As the V.P. Biden quipped "General Motors is alive and OBL is dead." More below;
3.6 million jobs by cutting taxes, investing in clean energy, roads, bridges teachers and protecting unemployment benefits.
Equal Pay for Equal Work. Democrats enacted the LILLY LEDBETTER FAIR PAY ACT ensuring women get paid the same as men for the same work.
Protecting Womens health with preventative services such as mammograms and contraception.
Ended Insurance Company abuses or the canceling of insurance policy when you get sick and denying for pre-existing conditions.
Expanding Heal Care; making it accessible and affordable.
Closing the Medicare Prescription Drug Donut Hole.
Ended subsidies to banks and used savings to double Pell grants for college education.
Transitioned full security responsibility to the Iraqi people (read got out of Iraq)
Refocused on Al-Queda worldwide.
Enacted tax credits to encourage businesses to hire unemployed and disable veterans.
All of the above accomplished with little help from republicans.
Barack Obama can do much better in a second term and with a more moderate congress and senate. Please vote Democratic.

The best way to express disappointment at the lack of fairness and progress would be to reject the republican party platform by rejecting republican candidates. Not only is the republican party platform regressive it is the far right wing in the republican party that moderates. And the results that are sluggish and disappointing. But despite the obstacles there has been progress because of great leadership in the Democratic party. Many of us have disappointment in a wide range of issues. But this is a critical election and we cannot go backwards.

O.K. to be clear I was not commenting on the article but on people using pseudonyms and their allegations about ethics and integrity.
But if I were to comment on this particular case I'd suggest that maybe at least in part Melchiori Construction and subs succumbed to the Busn/Cheney conservative real estate bubble, the bust, and subsequent world wide recession.
If you check the local civil court dockets you'll see much of our celebrated business or 'business community' types involved in peer to peer litigation. Here's just on example http://www.independent.com/news/2012/...

But still I find it strange that a pseudonym can throw out all kinds of allegations about ethics and integrity.

With these republican types there will only be a select few who would be allowed shelter. So forget any thought of hunkering down with wine and t.p.
This aggressive persona is played out across the nation. Locally we have had similar astonishing ethics lapses in council'men' Francisco, Hotchkiss and Rowse. Francisco once vigorously interrupted his lesser opponent from his council chair. It's the Self-serving conservative 'I've got mine and the hell with you' personified in the republican leadership, the standard in that party. Too bad far to many support this type of Self-ish behavior.

Oh come on you two pseudonyms; you get your mean slant from breitbart, drudge and worldnewsdaily.

The Independent does a good job at promoting bicycling I guess. There appears to be a few more bicycle commuters, especially within the downtown corridor. I don't think though that there is a genuine flag to wave or horn to toot over this statistical increase.
We have here probably more yahoos per capita of all sorts also but most bicyclists are probably adapting to economic conditions such as low wages and high costs of housing, transportation, parking and fuel. The bicycle increase is probably for the same reasons many have joined the ranks of really much less environmentally sensitive noisy polluting and hazardous motorcycle, motorbikes and pooter scooters.

You just can't win an argument with these twisted dwindle and drown America in a bathtub conservatives. Round and round; saying the government must be flexible and operate like a business. Then when you agree they change their twisted logic and say 'put it in a 'lock box' so those corrupt politicians can't touch it. It's just sick and twisted. Unions, teachers, firefighters, etc, etc, etc; conservatives just don't like anyone.

Hilarious; a retraction request from a nuttier than a holiday fruitcake pseudonym.
LindseyParks; I think billclausen safely negotiates this route effectively and without getting tickets. Maybe you just need to brush up on braking or how to downshift into a lower gear. I think some of the signs posted are advisory (yellow signs.)
