A public watchdog is needed to oversee the spending of Prop 30 to ensure that all of the Prop 30 funds are spent on education, and does not disappear into the General Fund and then, from there to who knows where. The Governor of California cannot be trusted to do this.

Brown is blackmailing Californians. Why does Brown always pick-on the most vulnerable and education? He should close corporate and commercial tax loopholes, introduce an oil extraction tax, an oil corporation, windfall-profits tax, Chevron of San Ramon made $27 billions in 2011 and paid no federal tax and trim the service-debt paid to Wall Street. These taxes have to be rolled-back. These budget cuts will prolong the recession. Why should the students and the most vulnerable be blamed for the budget crisis.

Brown's budget proposals are ridiculous, because a few members of the oppposition will not vote for the budget and Californians will not vote for higher taxes, and very possibly, permanent taxes. So what is Brown's real budget? This budget is an insult to the intelligence of the people of California.

There is very little difference between Brown's budget proposals and previous budgets, because Brown's budget is master-minded by Corporate America. There is no provision for closing corporate and commercial tax loopholes, no oil extraction tax and oil corporation, windfall-profits tax. Californians pay the highest price for gasoline in the nation. Brown's budget is the same, because again, it picks on the most vulnerable. Jerry appears to be working for Big Oil and not for the Californians who voted for him.

Governor Schwarzenegger has to be commended for making a very wise, sound decision in restoring funding for battered women shelters. Without a shelter for a battered woman to go to, she could be killed or severely beaten. This is a very important point that Governor Schwarzenegger recognized. Most men are bigger than women. This is a reverse decision for Governor Schwarzenegger and this decision shows that the Governor has a flexible mind to do what is right. Well done! Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger! You have saved the lives of many battered women. If a husband has plans to kill his wife, beware, the "Terminator will be Back."
