Boy are you right -- I was 100% behind this project until I saw those poles-- FROM THE BEACH!! The building is GIGANTIC it would be the biggest in Montecito and not one bit what they have been proposing. I feel like an idiot to have told my friends how great this was going to be. Let's all get together and remind Rick Caruso what he originally sold us: A cottage style hotel like the old Miramar. The Story Poles told the real Story. Miramar beach is a treasure for the whole community -- it deserves the BEST hotel -- not the BIGGEST. Maybe their redisgn will reflect what the community really wanted all along. There is no rush, people -- let's get it right.
