Investments in education are always good ones, but investments in career and technical education (CTE) particularly have proven to produce a return. From boosting student achievement and raising their career prospects and earning potential, to helping businesses fill open jobs and curb emerging economic skills gaps, to infusing new vitality into communities, CTE has a tremendous impact nationwide. It's worth continuing to support in all its many facets and approaches.
The Industry Workforce Needs Council is a new group of businesses working together to advocate for CTE, particularly as a means to helping avert and reverse emerging skills gaps. For more information, or to join the effort, visit www.iwnc.org.
