This complaint is such BS.

Has the County or City EVER implemented a Grand Jury recommendation? I was considering serving several years ago until I couldn't find any evidence that they were ever taken seriously. Too bad, and an indication of just how little our elected politicians (note I didn't say "leaders" or "representatives") pay attention to anything beyond their own ambitions. Pitiful state of affairs.

It's illegal to carry a knife? Says whom? Since when? Was he threatening anyone with it (probably not, since it was reported as being in a sheath and he no doubt would have been shot by the LEOs if it wasn't).

This stuff has all been repeatedly addressed in the past when the design was significantly bigger than that most recently proposed. The El Encanto project was controlled by the city, not the county, so perhaps the competence of the city planners should be questioned. As I recall, the Miramar plan provides significantly more parking relative to project size.

If the ramp is already overburdened, then Caltrans needs to step in and address that problem, not Caruso. BUT WAIT! Wouldn't the proposed widening of the 101 help? Montecito Objectionista, are you listening?

Maybe it's revenge for so much hatred of oil companies voiced in SB.

BS on Carbajal and Lavigno political posturing. Adams is the voice of economic reason on the Board and works as hard or more than the rest. If the BoS votes a raise, he should get it just like the rest of them.

Let's see now...pipeline, no. rail, no. And today someone wrote the NP ranting about how the evil companies are keeping prices high in SB. Is there something in the water here that limits logical thinking?

Not at all a cheap shot re Miramar. It is a singular example of all that is wrong with CA's regulations re building, not to mention CEQA. It has taken very few people have managed to block this project. Some people seem to hate Caruso because he's wealthy. Well, who else is gonna develop this property, the SB homeless association? PODER? It is SB county siphoning (not syphoning) profits as they delay, endlessly, approval while successive waves of self-important Commissioners re-examine, yet again, every question that has been asked and answered. So no, the dump can be laid directly at the feet of the Montecito objectionista and self-appointed "guardians" of the public good not at Caruso.

Is every request to enforce the law (i.e. do your job) an excuse to request more money? Off with his head! Sanchez too.
