How 'bout we admit we don't have a clue and leave it to the Scots.....
Silly poll...but at least logically complete, unlike most Indy polls.

Nice to see the City have to pay for the misbehavior of the SBPD. I wonder if they canned Sanchez and hired a new chief it would save money? I'd sure sleep better if we didn't have a "shoot first" police chief.

Funny how certain bikers make this an us vs them. I wonder what the corelation is between these bikers and those who routinely break traffic laws. when is the last time you saw a biker stop for a stop sign?
Here's a thought: observe the traffic laws like autos do and you'll be a lot safer. Gee, maybe even make a donation to the road maintenance fund.

Now be fair, Barney. By far the greatest number of stop sign violations are committing by bicyclists. And the use of turn signals by any vehicle in Santa Barbara is so rare as to warrant some special award for their use.

What will happen, East Beach, is that cellphones won't work and people may die. But God forbid Carbajal should do the right thing instead of the political thing. See my comments above.

Once again, Carbajal puts his Montecito donors ahead of public safety. The batteries are necessary to keep the cell network working if the power in the community fails. Question to the BoS: are you legally liable if someone can't call for help because their cellphone isn't working because the power is out and you didn't approve batteries? I sure hope so.
PS. Having tried 5 different cell service providers, I've found Verizon to be far and away the best. Cell service is by it's nature best at large scale. Other companies could try to put service in Montecito, but given the behavior of the Montecito Association, why would they?
Kudos to Verizon (actually Crown Castle, who owns the towers) for continuing to work with the intransigent Luddites in Montecito.
