Let me help here on how this author can communicate better with other Americans.
Try this: Men of my religion cannot control themselves so we pretend not to be sexist misogynists even though we require women to wear ridiculous clothing and coverings and sometimes even prohibit women from driving a car or holding a job.
Or this: my religion is lipstick on a pig for how we treat our women.

Oh, Bleecker, stop being so bleak.
You really got to stop letting your bitter, disgruntled, whiny staff write your attempted public persuasion pieces.
And let me help you with some math. A dollar a day that you mention still is $365 per year from each business, large and very small, that would be a slush fund for you and Sharon Burns to keep for your own political action committee, which is what MCA is now and would remain with its fake makeover as the EBID bureaucracy.
Your side still has no budget of revenue and expenditures, now five months after the city council asked for one.

For most of us, math in real life actually is first reading comprehension classes with less time spent actually learning and practicing pure mathematics. Back in the day, these were called Word Problems, where a real life situation is presented for the student to teas apart what is to be calculated. Just Like Real Life. And Common Core reality standards.

The beachway was never intended as bicycles-only.
But good so far the comments here are not dwelling on the fossilized whine that bikers in spandex shorts somehow do not enjoy the same vehicle code and are offensive to the car-dependent, cars-are-basically-everything crowd.

Sorry, dude, even bad land development proposals still have to pay their permit and processing fees when their bad proposals are denied and ruled illegal by a court of law.
And even you should know that urban sprawl does not generate any net revenue for local government.

Which "strongarm tactics"?
"Because the entrance bridge crossed over a small chunk of undeveloped land previously gifted to the city as parkland, Judge Thomas Anderle ruled Santa Barbara’s charter required the public easement be put to a vote of the people. In November 2012, Lee’s proposal went down to crushing defeat, losing by a margin of two-to-one."
So complying with the Superior Court ruling is now a "strongarm tactic"?

" for failing to record $198,917 worth of expenditures during his 2012 campaign."
That is not an error, but outright deception, not that anyone cares about this multiple loser any more.
