I am really outraged that Murillo wants to inform the small businesses along Milpas Street how MCA wants to take their money using the city as the tax collector/pimp.
The Eastside BID "plan" by MCA about what they promise to do with these increased taxes has no details or a balanced budget of revenue and expenditures. As a result, MCA keeps playing the victim here in their campaign of mass distraction because they cannot sell their chicanery to the local small businesses.

From this article: "If the purpose was to increase voter turnout and achieve a more robust civic democracy, the speakers argued, even year elections qualified as “a no-brainer.”"
If only that were true. The plaintiffs duped by their attorney do not want increased voter participation nor a more robust democracy. And neither do half the incumbent city council members, which is obviously why the city never introduced even year elections as part of this legal settlement.

Of course, two “minority-majority" districts means that the other four districts will be majority-majority districts.
The plaintiffs in $500 thousand lawsuit may know how to count their billable hours, but they all do not seem to know that four votes on the council is twice as many votes as their two.
Districts guarantee nothing about decisions of the future city council.
