The above statement calls into question the credibility of the entire piece. Additionally, your solution ("We can start demilitarizing our society...We can demand a constitutional inquiry...") compels one to do little more than dream and pray it all away. Lots of words from other published men and selective statistics with no real action.

Right now at this moment there is a dude beating his kid in some far off land who will grow up to be a bad person with bad intentions and, coupled with a high IQ, will invent a better way to dispatch those that disagree in horrific ways. Something tells me that there will continue to be brave men and women (with nothing but love in their hearts...) of your US Military who will voluntarily deploy to said far off land prepared to do violence on your behalf for a just cause to make peace out of chaos. That, Mr. Cohen, is the real world...

You see little evidence from your computer in Goleta? Have you seen the actual evidence with your own eyes in Marjah today? Nawa? I take it you've done partnered patrols with ANSF with support of numerous NGO's with extremely positive results over a 9 month deployment?

No one has mentioned how friggin H-O-T the Mayor is. I saw her in person this last Saturday and was Star Struck. Anyone know if she's single? There is no possible way a protester ever looks/acts like a kook.
All this time I've spent in uniform I thought guys like Brad Kasal and Dakota Meyer were heroes.

Content of the piece is not the issue for me...I just don't like the title.
Marine 0369, weren't you fighting for the First Amendment guarantee of Free Speech?
Or was the whole Iraq War just a bastardized use of our armed forces?
