Rich people have little or no connection to the outside world. This is a perfect example of how rich people are the only ones that are heard. Where is the newspaper funded by the Chumash Casino? Vote to oppress yourself and others. Casinos are not suitable for Americans, so put it on a Native American Res. How about lets legalize drugs and have them for sale on Native land. That is EXACTLY how it is. But NO, lets have the Federal Government be completely in charge of what is going on. That has proven to get us far. Many people in charge of the Casino and making money are less than 25% Native blood. They should be ashamed of themselves.

That is great, however this will get us(Americans) nowhere. They wasted months of time and money on this and they won't even get real jail time. We need to slash some wrists with this nasty meth c-rap and the low lifes dealing with it. Where is the gang related stuff? Sounds like their 'investigation' didn't get them anywhere. Where did they get it? What gang are they with? They will be on the streets next year(they probably are right now). Throw the book at these idiots. Even if they had a real job, they wouldn't be paying taxes, yet they have IDs and DLs

Why doesn't anyone admit they know nothing 100%. This is the main problem with 'people' these days. There is a lingering sadness mixed with a superior knowledge base that is people's comfort zone. The comfort zone in America is definitely individual in the sense that respecting free speech is the least significant to peoples. Just the fact that the Independent is publishing this kind of nonsense is an indication that they want to stir the pot and put all of you idiots in it. No factual information is being used, yet everyone wants to be right. Visit to know factual information. Thanks again, NM

Jesus is an astrological figure. The sun reaches it's lowest rotational point(signifying death-winter) on earth's horizon on Dec 23. It stays in the vicinity of the Southern Crux or "Cross" constellation for three days until Dec 25, and then rises 1 degree forshadowing new life and another season. Much of the world's population has lost touch with astrology.

They need to build some bike trails or something out there. Except for the city doesn't want people to have fun or prosper and neither do the owners. Way to use the land for the good of the people. That beautiful place is just like everything else in America-sold and not American anymore. Besides, the region where the aquiring business is from is riddled with problems that need the investment from such people. It is a perfect example of how all societies lose. Hopefully they can all live like fat cats and not make things too much worse...

Good for them. These are all really great points. I always say that they didn't build America big enough. As in, add more spots for more people/vendors!! As for these people that are from out of town and governing the market....Why? Why does there need to be so many people for such a simple thing? How much money are they recieving and from who? Are they ever present at decision making meetings? What kind of perks are they recieving from doing things the wrong way? It sounds like they need to bring in some consultants and have decisions made by the actual city council on how things should be done. Then again, all politics revolve around is the power to do whatever is in the best interest of THAT PERSON!! Power FOR the PEOPLE!! P.S.- The Farmers Market is WAY too expensive due to the lack of vendors as well, not to mention they travel further being from out of town!
