I am far away from Santa Barbara, in Uganda East Africa. My dear friend Bonnie Brandt emailed me that Babatunde had passed. I write this in honor of one of the greatest human beings I have ever known. He walked the walk, each and every day of his life. I loved him, I learned so much from him, I respected him and know that his life made a difference in all of our lives in Santa Barbara and now far away in the work I am doing with youth in East Africa. His love, his courage, his wisdom and his passion for the youth, the marginalized and disenfranchised has greatly inform my work.
To Martha Sadler, I know you knew him well and loved him much, thanks for this very accurate and honoring tribute to one of Santa Barbara's finest.
