The reason this doesn't mention Santa Barbara is because the City of Goleta sent out a press release about it and the reporter must not have looked to see if any other local cities were on the list. Santa Barbara doesn't have a Public Information Officer who sends out general City information.

It's important to note that Target will not be on the DRB agenda on the date noted in the article. While public comments are always welcome, it may be frustrating for the public to come to a meeting in which there will be no discussion on the item of interest. This intersection had previously had a number of accidents (before the stop signs). The stop signs were a temporary measure while the engineering on the roundabout was done. This roundabout was called for in Goleta's General Plan and the timing was appropriate because of the impacts Caltrans Las Vegas/San Pedro creek project will have on the Fairview on and off ramps. (The northbound on ramp will be closed for 12-18 months while they're doing their work). Learn more at www.projectgoleta.com.
