You want more examples of a piss poor fire department...there is over 100 of them in Montecito and over a 1000 of them in California in the last two years alone. There called totally destroyed houses. The cause....inadequate Fire Department. Your heroes.

He said the same things when Rancho Bernardo burned. Two weeks later all was forgotten. Nothing but lies.

More perfect examples of how inefficient the fire department is.

Once again your fire department lost the fight! Don't tell me they did everything they could because if they had not one home would have been lost. Instead 100 homes have been lost. When are you people going to wake up! There methods are Stone Age. Normally when procedures don't work you began to think outside the box and come up with ones that do work. Within 20 minutes of the first alarm there could have been ten DC 10 type fire bombers over that fire. If our military can bomb at night then it is possible. What ever it is we need to hit these fires fast and "WITH OVERWELMING FORCE", And figure out a way to do it no matter what it takes, or just continue putting up with our fire departments getting there asses kicked, JUST LIKE THEY ARE NOW, fire after fire…. Losers!

40 B 52's designed as tankers...the fire is contained in one hour! Our fireman could go back to polishing the truck and checking fire hydrants. Would someone tell me why this wouldn't work? Save the "we can't afford it" argument. First add up the combined cost of all the fires in California over the past 10 years. That alone would take a team of investigators a least 6 months! We are on our way to Mars but we still fight wild fires with picks, shovels,a few planes,a couple of helicopters with buckets of water. I guess the bottom line, is that its really not that important......Who cares about Big Sur,...Yellow Stone.....Lake Tahoe...Laguna Beach...San Diego...Big Bear....We are just lucky this time the winds were not blowing off shore like they were during the San Diego fires, or like they were during the Laguna Beach fire. I hate to think thats what its going to take to get Santa Barbara's political clout rolling to seriously put our fire fighting resources up to date and maybe someday our firemen will actually be able to put OUT a fire.

Thank the Firefighters?.........Hello...Its there Job! Shall we all thank you everyday when you go to work? The Fire should be out by now! There should have been 20 C5 type cargo planes lined up wing tip to wing tip 20 minutes after the first notice of a fire putting and end to it. Picks and shoves are stone age. Oh ya ..everybody pitch in a dollar so we can buy a couple more fire Trucks, good idea Gov. Just wait, all of this political outpouring of sympathy and support will be long forgotten a month from now. Just ask the people in Rancho Bernardo that are still starring a vacant lots!
