Meanwhile, SCE continues to make solar, especially systems with battery back-up, more difficult for homeowners and business to get permitted and interconnected with the electrical grid.
Expect this problem to get worse, not better.
We live in a 5 bedroom home, completely disconnected from the SCE grid, all high efficiency lights and appliances, and only need a solar system that costs about $15k after the tax credit.
Last power outage we had was about 8 years ago, easy fix and no SCE BS!

Ken, you are correct. All the small guys who do really nice work and care about their community have been beat out. Most all the large solar companies that are still out there doing installs are notorius for doing sloppy work and providing poor customer care.
