Biography: The Santa Barbara Human Resources Association (SBHRA) is a professional organization comprised of Human Resources professionals working within the primary HR functional areas of business and HR strategy, workforce planning and development, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, and risk management. The organization was formed in 1956 and has a Mission to “Advance HR in the Business Community” and a Vision to be “Valued Strategic Business Partners”. SBHRA lives the Vision and Mission by offering a variety of professional development programs designed to provide current strategic and tactical trends in the HR field, including applicable tools, surveys, workplace laws and regulations. We encourage networking among members to exercise the power of professional connections by fostering relationships and sharing best practices. SBHRA serves as a resource to HR professionals, the employers they represent, and the greater business community at large. SBHRA is a local chapter affiliate of national SHRM.
