I moved to San Francisco (upper Haight area) in Summer of 1978, vaguely aware of local politics but plugged in enough to feel the impact of the events that would unfold on a national scale. I was 24 years old, a bit wide-eyed, naive and not quite ready to take it all in emotionally. Now, 30 years later the events of that November are coming home in a big way.
We've all waited a long time for the story to be told on the big screen. Now a wider audience can understand the meaning of Milk's presence in our world, and the events and people that surrounded those times.
