What a great way to end the year. As a former Goletan, and former News-Press intern, I'm definitely encouraged. But as a newspaper union official, I need to urge caution and patience. It can take the full NLRB years to hear a case. It took about 5 years for us to get board rulings in two different cases (Chinese Daily News, which we lost, and Alameda Newspaper Group, which we partially won). The good news is the Bush administration's NLRB , which specializes in stalling, won't be around that long.
