wow, it's amazing to see the arguments by public sector union-supporters use to defend it. It seems unions are the ones calling the shots, not voters. And has anyone noticed the cricket sounds coming from the union leader's camp when all the teachers were laid off?
It's all about the deals they can get on the table so they can continue getting support from their members, never mind that it's a shake-down of the taxpayers or that eventually it leads to lay-offs and bankrupt cities.

politicians spending hard-earned tax dollars on these green projects and then using it as a platform to make them seem so swell is bad enough but there's also the issue of their environmental impact---especially when it comes to birds.Because the solar panels are mirrored, it confuses birds who fly into them, probably because they either think it's water or more sky. And wind turbine farms have a horrific impact on their local bird populations due to everything from the disorienting sound to the spinning blades hitting them. Then of course there's the energy saving light bulbs that contain mercury that will certainly find it's way to our oceans, but before that, the risks to humans is great.

Congresswoman Lois Capps sure has a way with getting her pork projects funded. I suppose one could justify just about any community project in this big country but if they were all federally funded as this is we would be looking at 100 trillion in debt instead of 14 Tril.

I suspect the POTUS is enjoying the chaos he is helping to create amongst the citizens of the United States. I wouldn't be surprised if he is laughing behind the backs of the very people that support him and then saying gee, sorry folks, I tried to close Gitmo, tried to make DADT happen asap, get you all jobs, yada yada. I don't think he meant to fulfill any ultra-liberal promise he made but of course he will give scraps to the little people dependent on the goverment while giving prime rib deals to his CORPORATE/MILLIONAIRE/BILLIONAIRE cronies in order to gain support for re-election. Wake up people! We need someone who doesn't have such a shady background and is a leader, not a divider.

and he could have been another President that down the road, not many from the Democrat party would feel proud of in retrospect.
I find it interesting that liberal Hollywood has not come out with movies about democrat president's actual Presidency. Sure there have been one's about JFK, FDR but they weren't about their policies.

there should be some kind of county-run craft workshop where these guys can voluntarily participate in and create artwork or other goods that can be sold to raise funds for their care. I think that no matter how messed up you are there is still value.
