Good sentiments, Fred. Many fond memories of throwing the ball with my friends and family over the holidays. Unfortunately, nowadays for every person who would "reciprocate" as you say, there is a Grinch out there who is likely to sue SBCC for his Christmas Day football injury. And plenty of ambulance chasing attorneys to urge him on.

Bimbo, if weed was legal and taxed, the panga boat would just have a different kind of contraband on board ... or maybe be smuggling humans. I agree with you, doesn't seem to be a proportionate concern for the Guardsmen and his family. Bet if the Coast Guard had opened fire and sunk a boatload of illegal alien smugglers, this board would be up in arms!

Wow, Sez! What incredible proof/fact that diverse political thought is widespread and encouraged at UCSB. Thanks!

I think Clever-Guy's "shut up and move to Texas attitude" is sadly much more common at UCSB than most realize. People on the left love to think of themselves as "tolerant" but their actions are often no better than those they claim to despise.

You're either in denial or not very "clever" if you think there are many dissenting views out at UCSB. It's one way, full lib left all the way. Anyone or anything approaching center or right on pretty much any topic is quickly labeled mean, racist, phobic, hateful, etc.

The actual "field service" guys at Cox (who come out to the house, etc.) are great. Some of the best customer service there is in my opinion. The rest of Cox is HORRIBLE and the exact opposite.

Hey Ken, do you remember the old Saturday Night Live spoof with Phil Hartman as Ronald Reagan? The one where Reagan is the hardcore, arms dealing President cracking down on his enemies around the globe?
Then an aide would announce "photo opportunity Mr. President" while ushering a little Girl Scout into the Oval Office - whereby SNL's Reagan immediately transformed into a smiling, twinkle-in-the-eye, oldtimer who snapped a few photos. Then it was "everybody out, everybody out" and he was back to the cut-throat, take charge role.
Reminds me of Lois and her supporters lately, playing up the "isn't she just the sweetest, nicest gal in town" bit. Meanwhile, behind the scenes she "forgets" to pay and report taxes and income, while running an incredibly negative campaign (for someone who ought to have SOMETHING positive to run on after being in office 14 years). I know you'll disagree. :-) Now back to my photo ops.
