The combination of so many "English learners" in our schools, coupled with parents who don't have the tools, time or inclination to help with homework and activities brings obvious results. Can't always blame the schools. On the bright side, I will say that I've seen many more Hispanic parents attending school functions and meetings in the last 12-24 months and that should provide a boost down the road, though maybe not immediately.

Yeah let's blame Maldonado. Seems to be Capps' best tactic. Too bad "Nice lady" Lois can't seem to focus or remember much these days. Lots of "inadvertent" oversights for someone who wants to claim the moral high ground.
Pretty sad that she's been in office 14 years and can't run a single ad regarding her own accomplishments. Her only position seems to be "Maldonado is worse". That's it after 14 years? The challenger is worse? Weak.

Less than 11 years even with the additional charges for skipping bail and such ... that's a crime in itself! What a creep.

Disagree with BongHit on Reddington in Carp. Observation in the article is actually right on, and THE big reason why she is likely to go down in flames against Nomura and Shaw. With her, too often the messenger overshadows the message. I don't think she ever "gets" that.

Let's see Rat, this guy has known gang ties, dresses like a banger, got popped just a few weeks earlier dealing weed nearby and you're gonna whine about it being racially charged? I say regardless of color, this kid ain't that smart and has a "I do what I want" attitude.
