You're asking the wrong guy, loonpt. It's 14noscam's claim that the national parks are controlled by the UN. It's a ridiculous claim, don't you agree?

"Agenda 21, among its many other disturbing consequences, has turned our national parks from natural areas available to the public for minimal-impact recreational use, into UN-controlled bio-preserves."-- 14noscams
Your assertions are appallingly bad but this one stands out because it is so easy to refute. How many blue helmets have you seen patrolling Las Padres National Forest? None? Me neither. Grand Canyon? The national forests all along the Sierras? Nope. Your irrational fear of Agenda 21 and the UN/NWO all point to someone who is lost in the nutosphere of the right wing echo chamber.
That paranoia would be little more than humorous if it weren't for the fact that it blinds you to the FACTS of global warming. Yes, FACTS. It is an observed phenomenon, one that the DoD describes as a major threat to global stability. And they're no pinko, NWO outfit.

"And sanity can get back into the business of running this city before it is permanently ruined for everyone."-- foofighter
That's another thing that's been going on for at least 40 years. If we do this or that the city will be ruined. RUINED, I tell you. It is a meaningless whine that is nearly detached from reality.

Hey, Kelsey: "conservation" -> "conversation" The Indy editors fail yet again.
Hey, Bill: Feeling cranky today, are we? If 20% is too much, then Bertling shouldn't have signed the contract. Or he should have included a better security clause. In any case, extrapolating to "overreaching" government reveals a disconnect from reality.

pk is right. Moreover, any god that would suggest the killing of one's own son is a ******* and does not deserve worship, just disdain.
On another note, the idea of the "universality of religion" is just plain laughable. If that were true, there wouldn't be so much religious inspired violence around the world.

I don't believe these statistics. Got a cite? I'm 99% sure you're pulling those numbers out of your nether regions.
"Think about that and stop being PC for a minute."-- willy88
"PC" has become a worthless cliche on the right. Lacking any argument, they shout "PC" as if that has any relevance whatsoever.

Yes. Absolutely yes.
Botany, where in the constitution does it endorse - or even allow - US involvement in foreign (Iranian, in this case) governmental affairs?

I'm troubled by the concerns regarding censorship expressed here. Especially the post by MPHaus which is disturbingly simplistic. Sure, K has a right to speak wherever he chooses and can find an audience. That said, Westmont is not obligated to give him a soapbox to help him express his views. To confuse a simple refusal to give K a megaphone and censorship is to make a very fundamental and grievous mistake.
If at_large is correct that tickets are $1,500 then any assertion that this is an educational opportunity is completely wrong. How many students have that kind of pocket change? Moreover, both acknowledged Westmont grads posting here apparently have such a woeful history of recent USA foreign policy that listening to K will be indoctrination, not education.
