Excuse me but I have never thrown out a "butt" on the ground. HOwever, if I knew where you lived, I would dump out as many as I could on your lawn. You are a good example of why we need to bring back involuntary commitment to mental institutions. Get a life.
On Goleta Considers Smoking Ordinances

Blahblahblah is right! What a bunch of angry spewing, it is a bunch of blah blah blah ! I am a smoker and I am way more considerate about my smoking than non-smokers are about their bad habits like talking on cell phones in public, loudly, not stopping at stop signs properly, riding bikes the wrong way down one way streets and on the sidewalks, the list goes on. I do my best to make sure no one is exposed to my smoke, I don't smoke on State Street or places where there are lots of people. And PS it happens to be an addiction, harder to break than heroin and I know that. Would anyone say these things to an alcoholic! Sad to see how many hate filled, non compassionate, judgemental people still exist in this world. Those are the people who should just croak. Blah, blah blah.

Any resident who loses their home or has to evacuate due to a fire that could have been prevented by brush clearing should consider joining Forest Watch in a lawsuit, class action perhaps. The sabre can rattle in both directions.

There is one way to boycott this - shop in Goleta. It's easier and cleaner anyway. This is so ridiculous and that picture of the guy with the bag in his mouth just shows how looney tunes this really is. People will still buy bags for doggie poop, trash can liners, etc. Guaranteed. Those cloth bags are so gross especially if you put chicken or meats in them. How are they getting away with this with all the gang and homeless problems here??? So now, no matter WHERE we shop, unless it's produce or prescriptions, we have to bring bags for everything? Food and clothes? And then worry about separating out the bags so we don't contaminate clothes with salmonella from raw poultry in the bag before? So so ridiculous. Is there a way to sign up for the comment session next time they talk about this???

Oh yeah, and it WAS a shoddy investigation. The cops claimed they saw a white truck - and because Corey drives a white truck, it must be him. I live in that area and often go for walks and there are a TON of white trucks everywhere cause lots of contractors live there too!!

Hahahahaha! "Corey stole alot of money from them". Yeah right!! What never got out was there was never any "settlement papers" to sign, there was no settlement AND Dan and Barbara were complicit in the worker's compensation "scheme to defraud"!!!! They wanted to save money!! Dan and Barbara paid for one of the injured worker's medical bills out of their own pockets, because the worker's were being paid under the table at Dan and Barbara's request so they wouldn't have to pay worker's comp premiums (passed on through the cost of the contract)!! These were scumbag attorneys who made ALOT of enemies including in their own families - Dan sued his father and his other brother before. Give me a break. There are many, many people who would have done this to both of them and knew Corey would be framed for it. There are forensic reports showing two killers AND the guns used did NOT match the residue on Corey's hands. A miscarriage of justice at its finest.

I used to love the Natural Cafe . However, a co-worker and I recently ordered take out from the lower state street location. It was horrendous. First, the lettuce looked like it was a week old. I found a small pebble in my food, luckily did not break a tooth on it, and overall my meal was downright gross (not fresh at all). In fact, I was scared to continue eating it. My co-worker's chicken sandwich was just as bad. Tons of gristle in the chicken, dry. Neither of us finished our lunch, ending up throwing the food away (not cheap!!). I called to give them the head's up in case a new cook was not doing his job right, and instead of refunding my money, they offered a "gift certificate". I never want to go back there after that experience, so that was not very helpful. Haven't been back since, and honestly sad about it because I really used to love this place.
