I'm sorry to see Joe Gehl go but I hope they retain the rest of the staff. I like UCSB alumnus Paula Lopez. I'd also like to see Tracy Lehr more often on KEYT. I met her briefly and she was very nice and informative.

I went to the Sunday concert and was incredibly disappointed. Janet Jackson was an hour and 15 minutes late to the 7:00 p.m. show. Both the ticket and the advertisement in the Independent said 7:00 p.m. but she didn't show up until 8:15 p.m.! She did not explain or apologize for being late and played a very short set filled with lots of videos and film clips. She was good during the short time she actually performed but she started too late and ended too early.

It's about time! They'll need a fourth lane by then. Traffic is a nightmare. It should not take 45 minutes to drive ten miles on the 101 but it frequently does.

I think Joyce Dudley is creating this drama so she will have material to write another "novel"! She's a shady lady and it's a shame Santa Barbara will be losing a good prosecutor. Josh Lynn did a great job prosecuting the Jesse James Hollywood case. I hope he gets hired by a great local law firm.

Allegiant was great and will be missed. I hope some airline offers nonstop service from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas, otherwise I won't be going to Vegas again.

I agree with "Cartoonz." Emissions are worse when a car is idling than when it is going 65. Widening the 101 will get the traffic through faster without the horrible emissions from gridlock.
