"April 30, 2018"

I'll believe that when I see it.

Yes. Dredge the lake before it catches on fire! Seriously.

MUS and Harding are in different school districts. How would you "transfer" the money?

Funny, down in San Diego, they raised dam heights, built new dams, lined canals, and built a de-sal plant that comes on line later this year.

Perhaps it is just in Santa Barbara and Carpinteria and the rest of the south coast people do nothing.

But do put all the fisherman out of business, that will open Santa Barbara Harbor to more yachts.

Do you have links or evidence for your claim "Arctic sea ice has increased the last three years."

Not a single oceanographer or wildlife biologist I have talked to in the last year makes that claim. In fact, they show evidence of the exact opposite. Heck, even the oil companies are saying the arctic ice is melting as they ask for permits to do offshore oil drilling in the arctic.

There is an easier solution than trying to recharge the ground water basins with recycled water; just pump it up to Lake Cachuma. The process is call indirect potable reuse and requires minimal new piping, just the pipe back up to the lake. The current distribution pipes can be used.

Do you read the same News-Press we do? There is almost no local news in it. She bought the N-P for the land. When the building collapses it will be torn down, and turned into retail and condos.

And she will be fighting the ARB every step of the way on 1st Amendment grounds.

This is a direct quote from your letter.

"What we did in San Diego was shut down that failed system and moved public sector retirement funds to 401(k)s."

It has not been proven to be a successful conversion, we will only know that in 10-20 years. In the meantime the City of San Diego has been having a terrible time retain police officers, and has had to increase their pay considerably.

And what the heck does any of this have to do with AMTRAK? The City doesn't fund rail transportation.

DeMaio is not Mayor of San Diego. ALL his claims are suspect. They did not shut down the pension system. And there is NO evidence the savings he claims have materialized.

Here is a simple solution.

Extend Metrolink from Ventura to Goleta. With trains on the half hour. That will destroy Caruso's plans for a 4-Star hotel. Buy Caruso out and put a water recycling plant on the site. Change popy water to drinking water and pump it up to Jameson for storage and distribution.

No parking issues, more trains from Ventura, and more water. Who could be against that?
