Measure P is nothing more than south county fanatic environmental terrorism that has no impact on them. It's the proponents biggest lie that hurts families and children of the north county.

They say all existing oil operations are protected, but what that really means is all existing permits are protected. Those permits all have to reissued at some point which means ALL EXISTING WELLS WILL BE SHUT DOWN OVER TIME. Eventually over a few short years families will be without income, schools and public safety will have their stretched budgets cut even more.

All the while extremists of the south county will never feel the effects, just like if Measure P is defeated. Measure P does NOTHING to protect south county. That doesn't stop some of the ideologues from using the 1969 spill in their rhetoric, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with onshore wells.

The threat of lawsuits is a possibility, but what's stated above ^^^^ are the facts. Again we must put these fanatics in their place on election day, just like with Measure M.

The majority of these "poor" people, as some call them, are actually repeat offenders living on 3 meals a day, a roof over their heads, clothing, medical, dental, ect ect... all at taxpayers expense. That doesn't come close to what a lot of them took from their victims. I can't feel sorry for their soup or phone costs.

Just another limousine liberal running his mouth. If P passes and the county is inundated with lawsuits and people lose their jobs is Robert going to help them? I think not. He doesn't care about that, Just like the proponents of P.

I still find it incredibly callous that the south county supporters of P don't care a bit about the future of workers in the north county over their BS irrational fears.

Let's do the right thing and VOTE NO ON P.

Measure P is a lie. Those like Katie Davis and Bill McKibben hold extremists views anyone can learn about by researching There are no facts in CA to back up their arguments. Instead they use examples from states where there is little regulation and new wells proliferate the landscape. There is no chance of that taking place here.

I say to them them take your fight to where its needed, because it's not needed here.

Just read this measure, which apparently was taken down from the water guardians site. I don't think it bans anything in the south county, but it sure takes a chunk out of the north county economy over time. Yeah fracking sounds like a bad thing but WE DON'T FRACK IN SB COUNTY! So why ban existing methods that have been used for more than 50 years? This sounds like ideology run amok to me.

And some wonder why there is such a divide between north and south county. This kind of measure hurts more than it helps and all the pain is felt by hard working people who aren't twisting facts to suit their twisted ideology. No different than ultra religious trying to ram their beliefs down our throats.

Gives us a break with all these crazy measures already.

More from the horse s#!t and cheese Santa Ynez crier club. Hey Art, you're statements won't change a thing and I doubt you can make an argument to justify why you're pompous little group is more deserving of no casino expansion than the Chumash are of expanding.

And if you're so dead set against them taking the land off the tax rolls then why no complaining when the county buys up land with our tax dollars? That's a double whammy.
