Welcome back. Missed your column mucho. I need your rants and ravings so I don't feel all alone with my concerns.
Any comments on the Tea Fire perps? I am sure you have some. How about airing your views?

Brenda Simon is one terrific cook/chef. I will visit her at the art museum cafe soon. So happy to hear she is there now.

If you go be sure to ask Ralph D. Corners to dance. He is a love.

Good honest Mexican food. Wonderful salsas.
A good value. Besides, I am in love with Maria. ;>) Tony is a very nice host. I have been a fan since 2000.

I love this eatery. The food is authentic and well prepared. The owners are wonderful people who really care about their customers. I will drive down to Carpenteria every chance I get to eat at this jewel of a restaurant. It is like dining in Italy without the jet-lag and having to go through security. I have exposed eleven friends to this restaurant and they have all become regulars.

Dear Sue and Barney,
Congratulations on the new home. I know your Realtor and am happy she was able to help you. She is great. I have discovered a wonderful way for you to make amends with me for NEVER recognizing me. Sad since I am one of your biggest fans and have been for the eight years we have been in Santa Barbara. Happy that Sue says hi to me now. I realize I have made a pest of myself but there you go.. So, if you invite me to the house warming all will be set in fine order. Ask DW about me. Fairly nice guy.
Saludos,

Andy Gault

I really enjoy Jill's Place although I will always refer to it as Shalhoob's. Jill is a Babe and really a sweet gal as well. Her cousin Nick (our plumber) is a fixture at the lunch hour and it is fun to tease him about trying to get a free lunch.
This place IS Santa Barbara to me.

Really don't like the food here. It got lost in translation. Service is uneven and the food looks like one big glob.
No soup at the Mesa location?? Only menudo. The menudo is pretty good sometimes. Walk in through the kitchen and it is rather off putting.
Love Los Arroyos, La Super Rica and Carlitos most of the time.
