Marmalade started with great promise but once they removed my favorite patty melt from the menu it was all downhill from there.
It's hard to pinpoint what's wrong with this place -- they seem to be doing everything right but the experience always seems bland and a little overpriced. Maybe the curse of restaurants located in shopping malls.

You mention the owners ... But did you mention that they owned the restaurants previous incarnation as Epiphany? And that they switched names to avoid paying back wages to employees?
Maybe that explains the empty restaurant and all around bad vibes that haunt Hob Nob. Not to mention mediocre food and indifferent service. Another intelligence insulting review by the Independent.

I agree, the owner Patrick has quite an attitude. If the food weren't so good I wouldn't bother with the place.

Has this reviewer actually BEEN to Left at Albuquerque?
This review read like a total press release ...
The last time I visited this restaurant, the staff was indifferent at best, the food mediocre at best ... the complete definition of a State Street tourist trap.
I expect more from the Independent than inane cheerleading like this ... please provide some real restaurant reviews based on actual facts, please.
