There are many Michael Jackson statues around the world - Russia, Amsterdam, rio, China etc. Santa Barbara - the place where Michael Jackson lived and invested so much time and money - should honour his memory with their own statue. After all Jackson opened his gates to coach loads of kids from Santa Barbara and across the USA to enjoy the facilities that he had to offer - theme park rides, cinema, theatre, train rides, access to the gardens, lakes, and zoo. Free food and drink. All free of charge to children's charities and those in need. Most of the time Jackson wasn't even there when these visits occurred. How many other celebrities are that generous with their own home? Not to mention the local charities he funded personally. He was noted as the most charitable celebrity in the Guiness Book of Records for the HUNDREDS of millions he donated to charity throughout his career. If the Santa Barbara people think it is a bad idea to honour what he did form them, then shame on them.
