HI Silver Queen, thanks for leaving a comment. You seem very well informed on this subject. Could you share your sources? I would appreciate learning more about Krauss, and mean no disrespect by any of what I wrote. She's truly a great artist!

The Home Show has historically always involved artists from out of town. It's part of the concept behind this particular show, and not a matter of somehow overlooking local talent.

The group exhibition immediately before this at Contemporary Arts Forum, a show called "Eating Apples in Paradise," was not only entirely composed of Santa Barbara artists, it was also largely about the issues raised by being an artist and living in Santa Barbara. The Independent reviewed the show on March 30, 2011. Here's the link.

Thanks Mike D, glad you had such a positive experience with the Nelsons. Now you've got your work cut out for you because the identification of Willie's guitar "Trigger" as a 1969 Martin N-20 is all over the web. and http://www.willienelsongeneralstore.c.... Here's a quote from Willie--"GC: How does Martin feel about you using one of their guitars (Trigger) for over 30 years?
Willie Nelson: I'm sure they like that. They've made a bunch of Trigger look-alikes and they're great guitars." And here's a link to the Martin guitar page for the replicas that the company issued with Willie's cooperation in 1998.

I paid my own way Moonrunner, and I am not compensated by anyone other than the Indy for what I publish in the paper or on the website. The article is titled "Coachella Safari Tents," not "Coachella Preview." We will publish lots more on Coachella and other festivals soon, so enjoy!
