Must be in town for Shark Week! The sightings continue... coverage as always over at http://fearbeneath.com.
Long story short - Santa Barbara's waters are not as friendly as some would have you believe. Take care of yourself and your family out there, folks.

We are not surprised! Northern Santa Barbara County is a favorite cruising spot of the magnificent Great White Shark.
There seems to be a definite trend of increasing shark activity this summer! Could it be climate change ... ?

Yikes... two fatal shark attacks on surfers in the last week - Western Australia and Reunion Island... now this. It's almost as if there are hungry sharks in the oceans all over the world!
Next stop... Santa Barbara?

Releasing sharks back into the wild - so they can invade our local waters and threaten the safety of our community - is a completely irrational and irresponsible act.
Someone needs to hold these people accountable for their actions before a human life is lost to this madness!

Our condolences go out to the family of the victim.
Chester Burnett, shame on you.

Thanks Ethan! We are certainly happy to see all this coverage taking place. Important to have an informed public! Stay safe out there folks... or just don't go outside.
It's a dangerous world, after all, and there is a *Land* Shark in Santa Barbara, too... we see it all the time. That thing is frightening.
Might as well share our fair and balanced coverage of some of this summer's events: http://www.fearbeneath.com/2012/08/gr...
