Well, then maybe just foolish or ignorant-
Any amount of oil not produced here WILL be produced somewhere else, somewhere without strict govt oversight or under the watchful eye of thousands of anti oil zealots .What happened at Refugio would be just another day in a Third World oil field.Oil from elsewhere also does not help fund research for alternative energy or pay local, state and federal taxes which support our new wealth redistribution economy.

Hey Barney-
I am thankful we are only a few hundred years behind the times here in the Good Ol US of A-For a real taste of old times try Saudi Arabia or any other Middle Eastern country where women can't drive, thieves get their hands cut off and adulterers-again women-are stoned to death.Kinda makes an old white guy chuckling seem pretty small scale-but of course here you can make a safe living pointing out these little foibles.

We need to 'Set an Example' and go broke doing it while China builds dozens of coal fired plants annually and send their kids to UCSB where they displace our kids and clog the road with Audi's,Bimmers, and even Bentleys!
Good opportunity for Canton speaking car sales people I suppose..

$600,000 in Lawyers fees!!! Those dollars could have funded an after school boxing gym or tutoring center.
Suffice to say Capello's fees were not paid by Cruzito and his hourly rates have not been adversely impacted by cheap immigrant labor.
