Only 11 years for murder and out when? I'm so glad the "public" defender is defending the public. I feel so much safer now. These are the stories that we remember when we are called for jury duty and tell the defense attorneys and judges what we really think about the "process".

Now if we can just get the bicyclists to use the bike lanes we already have instead of the adjacent sidewalks where I'm walking, that would be great. I'm not counting on it, though. What else could be done with $3 million tax dollars?

Questions - How did he afford Genis? Did Genis write the statement that Morua read? Did Genis represent him properly or is the lawyer simply after Capps? The moral of this story - don't hire anyone who has had a DUI. Look at the employer liability. It's not worth it to try to be a good Samaritan and hire people with "issues"

Is it cool to be in college or are they there to appease someone and don't care? Money is available for booze, beer, cigarettes and cell phones but not nominal tuition. How many scholarships does the SBCC Foundation and SB Scholarship Foundation hand out each year? With no skin the game there is no motivation to perform. Wander through any of our junior or senior high schools and the culture is beyond words. Parts of them look like a gang zone. All of the education dollars and education PhDs have not been able to morivate these kids and change their culture over many, many years. How does Mr. Williams expect to change that? In the words of the former Notre Dame QB who this week said he used "poor academic judgement". You got to go to class, do the work, make the commitment or get out. It's not going to happen if you don't go to class or do the work. Period.

My $4,000 stock investment which at one time was worth three times that is now worth less than $200. There are thousands of shareholders with much more invested than I who were wiped out by the stupidity of the banks' officers. The bank still has an advertising budget, though. Their banners appear above and below your article.
