Barbara Boxer has a CCW permit. Gotta be a celebrity or a politician to get one in California. She just doesn't want "the little people" having one. I guess gun control just means, "I want control over everyone else's guns."

On Open Carry at Starbucks

Open carry is legal in California. Starbucks complies with California law.

If you cannot support a company that obeys the law, do everyone a favor and stay home. Calling the police to have them check out law abiding gun owners is harassment.

"Trespass against private property" - good one, Yolanda. How about sending a UPS package to an employee? Is that trespass? How about a personal letter? Is that trespass?

Here's one for you, Yolanda. Stealing a package not addressed to you is called "theft." Got fruit, Wendy?

Pack of damned idiots running the News-Press.

Whew, glad we cleared that up. I was afraid for a minute that the Indy outsourced its jobs to the UK. Carry on.

On The End Is Near - Except for Santa Barbara

I'm owned by the Tabby Terror, 10 pounds of fighting feline. Nothing makes a mommy's heart swell with pride like getting a phone call from the vet, "Your cat's a terrorist! Can you come in right now?" I made the mistake of letting her out on the patio shortly after the Gap fire, forgetting that the little rug she sleeps on was covered with ash. After seeing her lick the ash on her fur, I realized an immediate bath was in order and might as well get her vaccination up to date too. It took 3 vet technicians, a tranquilizing shot, a little gas in a mask held to her nose and $85 to get that bath accomplished. There's now a note in her chart that I must be present for all visits.

I haven't even mentioned the litlle "throw-ups" on the carpets, the marking inside and out of the house, the antisocial behavior with infrequent guests, how she goes ballistic when she spots another cat while looking out the window, etc.

I can't take her back to ASAP because I'm quite sure no one in her right mind would adopt her. I figure after all these years we deserve each other till death do us part.

On Loving the World's Worst Cat

I'm with thew. Mr. Arrogance always seemed so proud of taking command and immediately shutting down the Civic Light Opera. Buh bye, and don't let the expensive gaudy doors hit you in the ass on the way out. I won't go to anything at the Granada any more.
