Gambling is in humans DNA , its part of our daily lives. Dates back to when out ancient ancestors would toss animal bones in the air to tell them where the herds might be.
If fact ,more recently speaking, our closer relatives may have risked everything they owned, including their very lives, in order to migrate to this great country of ours. Investing in the stock market , buying a home , starting a business all have inherent risk. Risk = Gamble. If people want to entertain themselves with something thats part of our very human/American capitalistic nature , let them be.

I don't know about everybody but you seem to be fairly "observant" there, Don........and I think you fall into the catagory of "human".

Maybe humans are smarter than the author, Mr Cox, thinks. Good article - but com'mon man - not all humans are uninformed or not observant about the intelligence of the other species we share this beautiful planet with. Give the intelligence and powers of observation inherent within the human race a little credit ,sir. The title of this article implies humans are not very with it , walking through the world with a blind eye.

The question arises, Does love need to be of a certain duration to be considered a "true love"? Can a couple be in love for a short segment of time? 2 weeks/3months/1year. Does a 50 year marriage = love? Can love be a passing fancy? My thinking is love is an emotion we allow ourselves to be in or "fall into" and there is no time table. If we allow ourselves to be there "in love" ,we on the other hand , can remove ourselves.
