Hey Sam I don't want to dump on these guys too hard who do seem to be trying to be greener. I use this station myself.

so here's a couple of nits to pick:

B99 or any other formulation of bio-diesel is not carbon-neutral. However, it may not be possible to get a definitive determination of just how much less carbon ( CO2) it releases than petro-diesel. The carbon life-cycle of a bio-fuel is very hard to track. And that is a big reason the hype has worn off - most bio-fuels are just a stop-gap measure on the way to greener fuels. We hope. Veggie oil seems to burn cleaner, and thats a good thing.

The station has the worst gas pumps of any I've seen- the LCD screens are unreadable. I use it because its convenient for my trailer, and I have memorized the sequence for the pump.

"Someone should be in handcuffs from the Forest Service."

oh puhleeeze. Give us a break. Not every problem has a solution that pleases you. The fire is in unburned super-dry country so steep you can't get a bulldozer in there. The guys are doing what they can, but its a big fire and they only have so many men and so much equipment. Trust me, there is no politician or bureaucrat who want the fire to get bigger.

good pix Independent!
