This is probably one of the worst reviews of DTLA I have ever read. There are so many better places in downtown to visit other than LA Live. Also, if you’re going to mention the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, you should also mention the Home Depot Center in Carson where the L.A. Galaxy plays.
You write about the Bonaventure and don’t highlight LA Prime or the rotating Bonaventure Lounge, but instead the elevators?
And how dare you mention the idea of a cab! If you knew anything about downtown, you’d know the Red Line from Union Station takes you to the Civic Center Station, leaving you next to the Ahmanson, Dorothy Chandler, Walt Disney Concert Hall, as well as Grand Park. You can also get off at the 7th/Metro Station, which is a short walk to the Bonaventure as well as to some of the best bars in the city. Or you can take the Blue Line from 7th/Metro to Pico, leaving you a block away from LA Live, if you want to go in that direction.
Have you even visited Downtown LA? The Independent should be ashamed for publishing this.
