I wish them all the luck in the world. I would sure like to see a nuclear-free world. Yes, Obama should embrace this chance to more forward.

@Herschel: Yes, his web site says General Contractor, but NOT Licensed Contractor. So, I think he is clear there, now.

Sure, prosecute Lack, but, I don't like it when I hear things like this:
>>>alleging Lack “stole” $1.4 million because he did $1.4 million worth of work on a Montecito estate representing himself as a licensed contractor when in fact he was not.
Come on! He didn't steal the money if he performed the work. Most of that must be expenses. It's just that sometimes prosecutors, by acting like this, seems almost as bad as those they are prosecuting.

>>> But, in a statement released after the ruling, City Attorney Gilbert Trujillo said the city doesn’t have the “statutory authority” to accept corrected documents
Thats pretty scummy of the City Attorney. Sounds like he really doesn't want that petition to go through.

Boy! That fence sure is ugly! The article talks about a sturdier fence. Thing is, sturdy or not, it is just easy to jump a small fence, and I don't think we want a monstrous fence out there.
Maybe what IV needs is more and constant education about the dangers of the cliffs from UCSB and all the housing (landlords) out there.
People die at Yosemite every year, too; and often after jumping a fence intended to keep one back. There's only so much you can do.

>>>if asked if they are law enforcement officers, they are allowed to maintain their hidden identity.
This is how cops get a bad name. They shouldn't lie.
I'm surprised they are allowed to enter these parties—granted, I am glad they are busting under-age drinkers.
As soon as the houses wise up to this scheme, all they have to do is issue tickets. to thwart this, I would suppose.

Wish the rest of the Beach Boys were there, too! Did Mike Love really kick them out after last year's reunion run after trying so hard to get them all back together?

August, the Coastal Commission is protecting the ocean, beaches, and coastal for the good of all of us, and our children. I hardly see how that is "out-of-control."

Th Coastal Commission sounds very sensible. Trouble with not accounting for everything is that, even if the county seems environmentally friendly now, it could easily change with a different supervisor. Better get it all in writing!
