Heartbreaking, senseless and maddening. These supposed"men" ..yea the ones who were so afraid of a sweet 40lb dog ...the ones with the guns to make up for their "inadequatecies" should be held accountable and made to make restitution . How about a huge fine to be given to a local shelter along with mandatory volunteer hours at some of the local shelters ?? Maybe if they spend time with these sweet 4 legged souls..they will see they HAVE a soul..and a spirit..and emotions..and lets not forget the unconditional love they lavish on us.
I am so so sorry for the tragic loss of your sweet Billy. May time help heal your heart .

Don, thanks for playing . We have some lovely parting gifts for you.

" drive down" simply meant as I drive "down" from my residence which is above the park area.

Wow.

Mr McDermott,

What you think is my " perspective" is simply someone who knows her neighborhood very well, has witnessed time and time again children and adults almost getting hit by cars. The all powerful windshield you speak of is your trip..not mine. And how you could even state that crossing mid street would be safer then at marked intersections for kids and adults alike is just plain ignorant. I don't look at my vehicle as all powerful. Perhaps you do. I invite you to spend a day in the area so you yourself can see what my concern is.

Don, you assume that I don't also walk this neighborhood which I do often being the owner of dogs. I am not " blaming" anyone, I am simply pointing out the obvious and how you could take issue with safety for children is mind boggling.
You assume an awful lot.

Have a nice day.

Does it really matter what school they are from? Does it really matter if these "young adults" voted yes or no on 8? I agree with mtndriver..we ALL did stupid things when we were 18 and when you look back on it now..you wonder how you got here! What matters is that we have hundreds of families that have lost their homes, hundreds of animals that have been lost, an elderly gentleman lost his life perhaps due to the fire, perhaps not. WHat is important is that we come together and lift those who need lifting..extend a hand..open a home..open your wallets and open your hearts. These "young adults" who are responsible for this will have their own hell to deal with and will be dealt with accordingly. Who cares where they went to school..who cares how they voted? They were stupid and careless and I am sure feel horrible and will have to live with this for the rest of their lives..and pay the consequences. Lets not get so angry with one another when we really need to pull together and try and help those who have been affected as much as we can. Its one of the many reasons we all live here..because we truly CARE about each other and our community . Be well all.
