Outstanding is right - and I hope the fees for the rescued puppies and dogs are reasonable.
Certainly the shop has to make a profit to stay around, and caring for rescued dogs is costly with vet and grooming bills...what is being charged for the puppies?

Goleta Water District customers should be seriously concerned that some board members want to place Ford in the GM position. He may be a nice guy, but has little administrative experience at the level required, no CPA (he was CFO for years) and no master's degree in administration.
In addition, he apparently OKd the investment of the $1.5 m in CIT after it had lost its AA rating. Board policy requires that investments be at least AA if $ is put into them.
Is this responsible, intelligent, legal leadership? NO.

I didn't see hard questions in the written interview...like why were valuable employees let go and why are valuable volunteers refusing to move forward as long as the director and board remain essentially the same?

The point is...Armijo appears to have lied about his "lady friend," and then pled "no contest" to his DUI.
He would be much better off if he would look at himself in the mirror, acknowledge that he has a major problem with alcohol abuse and get treatment!
Why spend all this time, energy and money trying to throw red herrings at the fundamental issue: he blew a .16 BAC and was behind the wheel of a car, putting lives at risk.
Give it up, Joe, and get on with a better life. You can find meetings at www.santabarbaraaa.com.

Bravo! Great investment and well deserved for a terrific community asset.

There are also plenty of cases in which families have had to assertively transfer their loved ones from the Troubled Terrace to another "skilled" nursing facility in order to protect them.

Mission Terrace is frequently a hell-hole for patients. Some have found it to be a helpful resource, but thousands have been neglected and much worse at Mission Terrace, especially on the overnight shift.
I have a mother who fell and whacked her face (2 black eyes, etc.) her first night there, and I only knew when I showed up around noon the next day. Nurses and other staff "knew nothing" of course, and I was lied to on many levels about the incident.
I know others with much worse experiences...

Akorngie's remarks were telling - important info was contained in his/her remarks about the heavily christian atmosphere at Cold Srping School.
The real pivot-point here is the rental of public school space for use by outside organizations. Should everyone be denied?
The cessation of passing out info to student's through school saved many problems in the Goletal disriict. Would be best if these extreme groups didn't meet on school grounds, but the districts have to be fair.
