The way these nuns are being treated with no compassion is just like they treat us victims. How Tod Tamberg even gets paid for what he does baffles me. He is just a yes man for Mahony. Catholics need to understand that serious crimes have been committed by Mahony and other bishops which is putting the faith at risk. Cardinals and Bishops should be elected officials who must be held accountable just like CEO's of corporations. Right now ther is no accountability which has led to corruption within the church. Demand that these so-called leaders resign so the reputation of the faith can be restored. It just shows how many victims there are as a result of the abuse at the hands of these pedophile priests. Not only am I a victim but so is my wife, my kids, my family and freinds. And now we can see that these wonderful nuns are also victims as well as there supporters.

The Bishops have known since 1986 that sexual abuse by priests was a major problem. It was recommended in 1986 that they reach out to victims and offer therapy. They chose to ignore the problem and continue to cover it up. Stand up to these Bishops and stop them from victimizing so many innocent people.

On Save the Eastside's Sisters of Bethany

It is just another example of the lack of compassion on behalf of the Archdiocese. Add the sisters to the list of victims left behind. The true criminals continue to get a free pass and live the life of luxury. And poor Tod Tamburg didn't get a raise. I just wish I could get a job like his which is to lie on behalf of Cardinal Mahony. Mahony recently built himself a $200 million cathedral and I'm sure that money could have been used in much better ways. Catholics need to rise up and hold the Bishops and Cardinals accountable for their crimes.
