Kudos to my friend and client Council Member Roger Aceves who made this an issue during last November's campaign and lobbied for the clean up. Great to see a promise fulfilled!

The story that needs to be told. Great job Matt! The effect on local agencies, housing and transportation makes the LRDP one of the most important issues in the coming years.

Naomi will be missed. As a good friend of Naomi this news of LeeAnne French's appointment-- which I was very much a part of -- is somewhat bitter sweet.
Still, I am excited for the future as LeeAnne brings a strong skill set, relevant experience and education; and, a passion for CPA's mission, to the job.
We worked hard to find our new Executive Director and I hope the community will extend her every courtesy and welcome LeeAnne to her new position.

Much of the comments in the article come from a lack of information as much has actually been done in the last few years and many efforts are hampered by state budget woes. Agree that a community newspaper would help! That being said, Noozhawk, EdHat, etc. do cover Goleta issues.
The newly revamped City of Goleta web site is a good place to start for information on what is happening in Goleta. http://www.cityofgoleta.org/
Mayor Aceves has a Facebook page and Twitter account (@RogerAceves) where he posts articles regularly of what is happening on council (full disclosure -- I am involved with his campaign).
