I didn't know George Ied was a Latino, I didnt know Robert Simpson was a Latino but I guess according to PODER they are part of the 100%. And we don't offer enough babysitting, youth programs even if they don't choose to join thanks for clearing that up.
Who on the council supports these BS artists? I'm not a huge Cam fan but he should have just shut them down and called out Murillo at the same time.

Its sad that El Puente can't go on but the Multimedia Acadamy of Art and Design at SBHS has no problems. The difference is the Academy is essentially a private school at SBHS using -SOME TAX DOLLARS- but where the families are expected to pony up the additional money which may explain why there are almost no Latinos in it, in what is a majority Latino school. I guess if their parents can't pony up their share of the 300k fundraising drive then there is no place for lower income students. The Indy needs to take a look at how this program operates and who gets into it.
Its a great idea and good program, but its a misuse of tax dollars and a failure of the board they way it excludes students of lesser means.

Having read some state reports from committees that were brought in to analyze out district, they seemed to say SB Schools are overstaffed with declining enrollment. If thats the case why is this a big deal. The overstaffing seemed to be more in administration and facilities as well as the district completely overstepping the early childhood funding into a daycare w/ a deficit - but with enrollments on a decline it would make sense.

Two Different points which Daryl would like you to confuse:
Yes the cops need oversight and Tudor probably went overboard.
The other point is Daryl's client feels its ok to knock back a few drinks, then drive even though he has previously had a DUI and is not allowed to by law.
A perfect world would be both Tudor and Denunzio doing jail time and no need for the self promoting Daryl Genis in town, unfortunately its not a perfect world. They probably won't do time, and as much as I dislike DG's style somebody needs to rake the law over the coals when they screw up and he seems to be the only one doing it.

There are numerous cases of "at risk" adults who prompted large scale searches with helicopters in short amounts of time. They usually involve seniors, for commenters who say otherwise it seems they are just misinformed or don't pay attention to local reports. Yes it cost money but the authorities did as would be expected and initiated a response, get over it.
I hope she gets better, and am looking forward to the special 5 part series submitted for regional emmy consideration on mental health issues... Good luck to KEYT on cutting her back over this, she didn't make the report and if she has a valid "medical issue" and they fire her the new owners may as well just sign over the station to her and avoid the lawsuit.
All is all its a good ending to what might have been a bad situation.

The council should take a look back at how many employees we had in the earlier 90's, and what spending was compared to then vs now. Even with the economic downturn of today the city's revenue was lower then but it built its reserves and met a pretty much unchanged numerically, populations goals and needs. They might figure out the problem even with all the new revenue streams (permits, fees, taxes, etc) may well be with the "progressive" bloc of the councils management on fiscal and staff issues versus the moderate Democrats who used to run the city.

I won't be going there because I disagree with the owners stance on some social issues however if someone else chooses to wont be calling them "white trash". Seriously Ken you sound as extreme as TK in your comments, when you mention the Taliban in jest for those who accost others who don't fit their narrow worldview be careful not to look in the mirror you might see Mullah Omar looking back.

Thats to bad plus anyone with a brain realizes that a large amount of it will undoubtably be getting fenced off soon.

Two items to note the 1st being that Ken the majority of injunctions have been upheld as constitutional. The other being that the non debate society that is the DCC is subsidized thru the election process, this is a private club same as the RCC their inclusion on the partisan publicly funded ballot should end. Daraka and the gang (all political parties)should pay for their own election costs for their local commitee posts as its a private group not a public office. I have no objections to whatever a little group of overinflated egos however misguided decides then.

Ken I suppose you agree with PODER, btw how is it unconstitutional? The courts and judges who have upheld numerous injunctions don't seem to agree with you or Kathy but please explain.
