It's ridiculous working at UCSB in any lower-tier position. I attended college here- graduated in 2007. Now I work on campus as an Admin Assistant and live in public housing. My degree feels fairly useless, and I'm struggling with moving up in life. I thought my BA from UCSB would actually mean something?

MTD gets some money from students, right? I think there is a lock-in fee that all student's pay...it allows them to use their Access (id cards) with current registration stickers to ride the bus "for free." I mean- if students are paying for it, what's the problem?

I wish Sumida Gardens were more affordable. LOL @ only 34 'affordable' units. When I signed up on for their waiting list, soon after reading about it online, there were already 200 people on it. So much for affordable or accessible housing for everything who does administrative assistance/bitch work.

Great review- I need to try this out! Does anyone know what that large triangle or pizza shaped white item is (at forefront of picture)? It looks like it has cranberries or something in it. I'd love to know what it is.

Taz, Where is Ross coming? Is it going to be in the old Linens N Things location? I've been wondering what will take that place.

Drat, I thought the article said they are open for lunch and dinner. I want to visit a deli tonight for dinner, but their website says that they close at 3pm!
