I can't really speak to the UCSB program, but the teacher ed program I started at Cal Poly was horrible. I have a MS in one of the sciences but that wasn't good enough for them. I was told to enroll in an Into to Computers class which covered topics like how to use Excel, where the start button is etc. I can tell you about numerous other useless things they wanted me to complete. The classes I did take before dropping out of the program were a total joke. Needless to say, I gave up on teaching high school as a career.

My only question is with the statement that Serban didn't get the job. One paper down down south is saying the decision will be made April 20 regarding Mt. San Antonio's new president. Not sure who is right.

veracity- I think it time for you to pick a bong with all this internet yelling. Not everyone in America agrees with you, and this is a reality that you will have to accept with out seemly busting a blood vessel. On Tom Watson, he has spent is whole life on the government dole. How can argue otherwise? His college education (thanks Uncle Sam), his retirement checks (thanks Uncle Sam), his lifetime of government run health care ( thanks Uncle Sam), not to mention the obvious earmarks.

Let me sum up:
I will do anything and say anything to protect the insurance companies which make billions while denying care for clients. I will do and say anything to make sure the drug companies can charge $100 or more for one pill. In short, I am doing the bidding of my bosses and it ain't the American people.
