It is ridiculous the city has dragged its feet on this in order to extract as much Hotel Tax as possible. The Miramar is a historic and grand sector of Santa Barbara that should have been open yesterday.

With a speech as grand and sweeping as the one Obama gave tonight, is there any doubt left? We have a once in a generation (several generations, really) leader who is ready to be elected. Who MUST be elected. If the Republican sludge machine brings this incredible leader down and causes him to lose the General Election, this shark is swimming for new waters.
New Zealand perhaps? Portugal? Western Australia?

Radiohead has been doing webcasts a lot. My guess is they'll completely stop touring within 2 years. Maybe less. I'm glad I've seen the incredible live show they put on before they blaze the carbon-friendly trail of rock by staying at home and broadcasting their concerts to fans around the world.
