I personally thought it was fabulous! If you haven't watched L word, it is amazing...and addicting. Ignoring the fact that TV is not part of our lives is like saying the beach is not in Santa Barbara. I thought it was a hilarious article, reaking with truth; Penny can really connect with an audience.

I just saw Penny speak at the Diversity Dialouges on SBCC's campus, to me it did not seem as if she was ignoring bigger issues. If anything she was addressing these issues head on. I think it is important to have a column that can be uplifting. It is honorable when someone can complain, talking about all the horrible things in the world and instead they decided to give appreciation to the little things in life. In general newspapers are boring and repetative covering the same type of events over and over again. Penny took a brave, bold move by just having the column that she does, I think there should be more writers like that are as capable and multi-talkented as to have the ablility to cover a topic as common as TV and still be able to make it relative and funny.

Penny I hope your friends enjoy Eureka, even though that means they won't be back to enjoy the L word with you and your girlfriend!

P.S. Its not hiding by staying in and watching L word on repeat. Many people would support me on saying a show whose main theme is the relationship between characters sucks you in! I know plenty of people that are just as, if not more so, addicted to Sex and the City, Friends, and the Office.

Thanks
