Same thing happened in my Area Sun Night. Ours was in a box on the street. SCE took about 2 hours to respond.. Besides the power going out .. I did not know (my house is Solar powered Off Grid Capable. so it just blinked then switch to my Battery back up ! ) MY Scanner went off with the call to the SBFD.
Then SCE took about 2 hours to respond.. They were Blindsided by the Heat!.. But its no excuse.. and yes those old style transformers are very toxic..

Even that Smart Car still uses Gas.. !!!!!
Give up the Gas Go electric.

We own one and are soon to buy our 2nd. It's the perfect SB car.
40 MPH, 40 mile range.. Can get to Goleta and back a few times!.
Check them out the more we all start to use the new electric cars on the market the cheaper they will become.
Or . Make the Smart car Electric.

Why would we want to draw attrition to the enslavers of the Native American people that Lived here first? The effect that it had and the harm done to the Natives American Indians should not be celebrated !.. In-Fact we should end Fiesta and start a Native American Week instead! .

Septics work great if they are kept in good working order..
And they pollute less than sewers that just outright pump poo into the ocean. A good septic releases only water into the surrounding soil.. If they are leaking fine the home owner , remove the bad septic and install a new one.. or even better install a methane converter to create electricity for the home in question.. In the end it should not be about the Surfers. It should be about whats best for the Ocean.. Stop Pumping sewage into the ocean. Fix the Septics, If they leak Fine the Home owner!.

I say leave the Gas Station! let it Rot!. The build has the Right, the ability and the need. The Silly Village area should be extremely happy that there even considering building anything on the site of a Gas Station. That alone will make the cost of construction extremely high.. But since there are so many people against it. " Nick " then leave the cruddy old gas station there for every one to see!!..
This is a no brainier.. Let the builder use his land.. Or risk him leavening it as a Gas Station for another 30 years!.
